Crown University International Chartered Inc. (CUICI), a US-registered research university, has announced a partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) to strengthen global higher education and innovation.
The announcement was made in Asaba through a statement by Prof. Bashiru Aremu, Vice Chancellor of CUICI, via his media aide, Comrade Bieni Victor. CUICI, established in 2011, offers undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral programs and maintains accreditation from bodies including the International Quality Assurance Agencies for Higher Education (INQAAHE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The university also has campuses and partnerships in countries including Ghana, Nigeria, India, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.
UNITAR offers training solutions in areas such as peacebuilding, sustainable development, human rights, diplomacy, and humanitarian affairs, designed to enhance global decision-making.
Prof. Aremu described the partnership as a milestone for international collaboration, thanking Prof. Mahammad Rafi, CUICI’s Director of Global Partnership, for facilitating the agreement. He said the collaboration would foster research, knowledge sharing, and capacity building across borders, supporting a new generation of globally trained leaders.
