NIQS Reiterates Stance Against Professional Misconduct

Kene Nzekwe, the NIQS President

The Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) has reaffirmed its intolerance against professional misconduct.

Kene Nzekwe, the NIQS President, while speaking at a press briefing in preparation for the institute’s 31st biennial general meeting and national conference, expressed that the institute will not tolerate any act capable of tarnishing its image. The president noted that any member found guilty will face inevitable consequences.

He elaborated, “Once anybody is established to be involved in any kind of infraction, we will remove him or her from our register and report them to the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN).”

He highlighted that the scheduled conference, themed ‘Rebuilding Nigeria: Enhancing National Development Through Fiscal Reforms, Infrastructure Planning, and the New Governance Imperative,’ aligns with the federal fiscal reforms aimed at promoting economic growth and transparency.
