NSE Gets New President, Deputy

Engr. Ali Alimasuya Rabiu has been elected 35th President of NSE


Engr. Ali Rabiu and Engr. Valerie Agberaga have emerged as the President and Vice President-elect of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), respectively.


Rabiu, the current deputy president, will assume office in January as the president after Engr. Margaret Oguntala’s tenure ends.


Following the emergence of the new leaders, Engr. Bosede Oyekunle, the Chairman of the Association of Professional Women Engineers (APWEN) Lagos Chapter, welcomed Rabiu, who would be the 35th president.


Rabiu, a civil engineer, has served in different capacities, including the president of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), and is a recipient of the national honour, Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR).


In the same vein, Agberaga is an engineer, administrator, and advocate of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
