The Ogun State Government has announced new measures to improve teachers’ welfare and expand digital learning as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the state’s education system.
Governor Dapo Abiodun made this known in a statement marking World Teachers’ Day 2025, where he restated his administration’s commitment to education reform and human capital development.
He stated that the government had initiated school rehabilitation projects, upgraded classroom facilities, and introduced technology-driven teaching tools to enhance both teaching and learning outcomes.
Abiodun added that the state would continue to prioritise teachers’ training and professional growth to meet modern education standards.
World Teachers’ Day, marked annually on October 5, celebrates the contribution of educators worldwide. This year’s global theme, “The Teachers We Need for the Education We Want,” was reflected in activities across Ogun State, including seminars and award ceremonies honouring outstanding teachers.
