The Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Alumni Association has unveiled plans to construct a 1,500-capacity amphitheatre as part of a N965 million infrastructure drive.
National President Yakub Adebayo said the Amphitheatre, which will cost N890 million, forms the core of the project, with an additional N75 million earmarked for a new school gate. Work is expected to commence in early 2026.
Speaking at the association’s 31st-anniversary event in Iree, Adebayo described the celebration as a showcase of resilience, unity, and progress.
He highlighted that the alumni network has grown into a dynamic body connecting professionals, innovators, and entrepreneurs both locally and internationally.
The president praised OSPOLY, established in 1991, for its ongoing contribution to Nigeria’s technical and vocational education.
“This amphitheatre and the new school gate symbolise our commitment to enhancing the learning environment and supporting infrastructure at our alma mater,” he said.
