The Oyo State Government has inaugurated a Staff Audit and Verification Committee for Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, to improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
Speaking at the inauguration, Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Olusegun Olayiwola, said the move aligns with Governor Seyi Makinde’s vision of building a future-ready polytechnic system. The committee will verify staff records, identify redundancies, and recommend policies to boost productivity while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Bamidele Oyinloye, commended the polytechnic’s management for its cooperation and urged stronger collaboration to advance higher education in the state. Governing Council Chairman, Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi, noted that the committee’s creation followed requests from union members to strengthen operations.
The committee is chaired by Prof. Sarafadeen Kareem, with Dr Ibrahim Rasheed as Secretary, and includes members from the Ministry of Education, other institutions, and the polytechnic’s union.
