Prof. Sir Bashiru Aremu, UNESCO Laureate and Vice Chancellor of Crown University International, USA, has applauded the success of the International Conference on Data Science hosted by the African School of Economics.
The global virtual event brought together scholars and experts from across the world to discuss the role of data science in today’s ICT-driven society. In a statement released in Asaba, Aremu expressed gratitude to the organisers and praised the quality of contributions made by participants.
He described the conference as a significant step in advancing knowledge and collaboration in the fast-growing field of data science. Notable speakers included Prof. Abiodun Amuda-Kanike (SAN) of Kwara State University and Dr. Shama Hussein, Dean of Students Affairs at Crown University International, USA.
Aremu, the first African UNESCO Laureate, said the event underscored Africa’s ability to host impactful academic dialogues, while also strengthening global partnerships in technology and research.
