The Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) has appealed for stronger collaboration with other teaching hospitals, universities, government agencies, and donor organisations to align its services with national and global health priorities.
Chairman of the hospital’s Governing Board, Dr. Sampson Parker, made the call in Port Harcourt during the inauguration of the new board. He said the institution is embarking on a journey of renewal aimed at reimagining healthcare delivery in Rivers State.
Parker stressed that the hospital’s mission goes beyond treating patients, describing it as a sanctuary of healing and a centre for training globally competitive health professionals. According to him, RSUTH needs the proper support and partnership in order to become a model of excellence in medical care and education.
The board pledged to strengthen service delivery, expand capacity, and ensure the teaching hospital remains a place where citizens find both competence and compassion.
