Environmental Scholars have been urged to tackle Environmental Challenges through Interdisciplinary Research by Prof. Bamidele Abiona Badejo, a former Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation and a professor at the School of Transportation, Lagos State University, Ojo.
Prof. Badejo, alongside Prof. (Mrs.) Margaret Oluwagbemisola Areo, a Professor of Art at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, paid a courtesy visit to the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, during the recently held 10th National Conference of the School of Environmental Studies.
The duo, serving as Lead Paper Presenters during the Conference, made a compelling call to action for environmental scholars to apply their expertise in solving real-world environmental problems. He further emphasised the need for scholars in the environmental field to take up the challenge of providing sustainable solutions to the myriad environmental issues facing the nation and the entire globe. He encouraged the academic community to embrace interdisciplinary collaboration as a strategy for meaningful impact.
