UCH, Medbury Partner to Improve Patient Care

The University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, has entered into a Public-Private Partnership with Medbury Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Medbury Healthcare Group, to boost healthcare delivery.

The deal, launched on September 16 at UCH’s Pharmacy Department, includes the setup of a Medbury Pharmacy stand to ensure steady access to essential medicines. Medbury also upgraded the department by donating office equipment and installing a 6KVA solar inverter to strengthen the power supply.

Speaking at the event, UCH officials described the initiative as a step toward improving patient outcomes. The Acting Head of Pharmacy, Olukemi Akinbami, said the partnership would enhance the hospital’s mission of providing quality care.

Group Managing Director of Medbury Healthcare, Itunu Akinware, commended UCH’s leadership for embracing innovation. At the same time, CMD Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo reaffirmed that he was committed to patient welfare and staff support.
