The University of Abuja and four international institutions have reached the final stage of a multi-million-dollar sickle cell research initiative backed by 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) and other stakeholders.
The collaborative project, launched to deepen the understanding and treatment of sickle cell anaemia, has entered its last phase, which focuses on the practical deployment of gene-based therapies. Participating institutions include universities in the UK and the U.S., with research hubs located in both Nigeria and abroad.
