FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has disclosed he has directed the FCT Mandate Secretary on Education to release the list of schools that have been renovated and are being renovated, in a bid to prove the works done by his administration in the educational sector. Speaking during the commissioning of the completely rehabilitated Phase 2 Water Treatment Plant at Lower Usuma Dam, in Ushafa, Bwari Area Council, the minister said that the FCT administration is working to reposition the education sector in the capital territory.
“We are not concentrating on the development of the city alone; we are taking development to the satellite towns. I have told the Mandate Secretary of Education to release the number of schools in the entire FCT under the Tinubu administration that we have completed renovations and the ongoing ones. I believe by the time that list is released, Nigerians will know what we have done in the education sector. I have told the Mandate Secretary to take the press around the rural communities and see what we are trying to turn our schools into,” he added.
