ABU Vice-Chancellor to Lunch with 100 Students

The Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, will tomorrow host 100 students to a special lunch aimed at strengthening communication between students and the university management.

The event, tagged “Lunch with the Vice-Chancellor,” is the first of its kind since Prof. Ahmed assumed office. It is designed to be held four times a year, with each edition featuring 100 students selected through an open call to ensure diversity across faculties, departments, gender, and special needs. According to the university, the programme will provide students with the opportunity to engage freely with the Vice-Chancellor on issues affecting them, while also fostering inclusiveness in decision-making.

The lunch will also feature a keynote speech by Muhtar Bakare, Chairman of The Alternative Bank, and a lecture on leadership by Prof. Sulaiman Karwai of ABU. Ambassador Shuaibu Ahmed will serve as Special Guest of Honour. The initiative, the Vice-Chancellor said, is part of efforts to make ABU more student-focused.
