The Abuja Centre for Leadership, in partnership with the TETFUND Centre of Excellence in Public Governance and Leadership, has trained secondary school students on leadership and civic responsibility as part of efforts to raise future leaders for national development.
The training, tagged Youth Leadership Clinic, was held on Thursday at Dennis Osadebe University, Asaba, with the theme “Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders.”
Student leaders and senior prefects from 14 schools across Delta, Edo, and Bayelsa states participated in the one-day programme.
Organisers said the initiative aimed to instil the values of service, integrity, accountability, and ethical leadership in young people, describing them as the building blocks of sustainable national development.
