Parents and guardians whose children and wards attend the Admiralty University of Nigeria (AUN) in Delta State are gripped with fear over the accommodation crisis at the school.
While the problem may not be entirely unrelated to the increased student population and infrastructural capacity, parents demand an urgent solution.
They express concern over the limited accommodations in the institution, fearing security challenges in an environment where the institution is situated.
Most concerned are parents outside Delta State whose children attend the university, lamenting that it involves finding private accommodations in Ibusa or Ogwashi-Uku, along with additional transportation costs.
The outcry follows an announcement by the Public Relations Officer of Admiralty University of Nigeria, Makut Alfred Mashat, dated September 23, 2025, which limits hostel accommodation for students of the institution.
