The Bauchi State Government has demoted the Vice Principal (Academics) of Jibril Aminu Model Secondary School to a classroom teacher after she was found guilty of giving severe corporal punishment to students.
Babangida Barau, Chairman of the State Special Schools Management Board, confirmed the decision after an emergency meeting on Tuesday. He urged parents to remain calm, assuring that further disciplinary measures would follow a thorough investigation.
In a related move, the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission dismissed two senior officers — Yusuf Ningi, an administrative officer, and Suleiman Ahmed, a principal executive officer — over forgery. According to the Commission’s spokesman, Saleh Umar, the dismissals were ratified at its 35th plenary session on September 23, 2025, in line with the state public service rules.
Meanwhile, the Commission also promoted three substantive directors and elevated four deputy directors across key ministries. Eight Chief State Counsels and a Chief Land Officer were also promoted to the rank of deputy directors.
