Bishop Taiwo Adelakun, the Presiding Bishop of Victory International Church and National Vice President (South West) of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), has called for a discussion between the federal government (FG) and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
In the same vein, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has urged the federal government to take proper action against the ongoing strike to ensure the success of its initiatives in the education sector.
Adelakun warned that the issue between both parties can lead to a national disaster if the federal government abandons the education sector and continues to mismanage public funds.
He queried the government’s claim of limited funds and sympathised with ASUU over its unmet demands.
