The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has called on its accredited study centres to improve the way they teach and support students. This message came during the 2025 Study Centre Coordinators’ Forum.
Speaking at the event, CIPM Registrar Ms. Oluwatoyin Naiwo, thanked centres for their efforts and encouraged them to use technology to engage students better. Guest speaker Dr Emmanuel Bassi explained that study facilitators should focus on guiding students to learn, rather than just providing answers. He described facilitation as helping groups learn through active participation and good communication.
Also speaking, Samuel Eviewho from CIPM said every centre must ensure that at least 20% of their teachers are qualified CIPM members with HR experience.
Deputy Registrar Gbenga Odetunde advised students to use the official study packs instead of depending on past questions. He promised the Institute would share reports on examination performance to help centres improve.
