The management of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has banned students from engaging in the sign-out practice done as part of graduation celebrations.
In a statement, the management wrote, “The management of the FULafia is no longer permitted to take place at the Permanent Site Campus Gate of the University henceforth.” The development came in response to the fatal accident that involved two tricycles at the university campus in Lafia.
According to the management, the students should celebrate within the premises of their faculties. In addition, the management expressed that students are prohibited from using public address systems and driving or operating vehicles when celebrating.
