Prof. Gwarzo Donates 10 Million Naira, Two-Storey Building, Equips with Ultra-Modern Facilities for Alliance Française Kano
Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, founder of MAAUN Group of Universities, has donated a fully equipped two-storey building and N10 million to Alliance Française Kano, enhancing its French language and cultural programs.
The facility, unveiled by French Ambassador Marc Fonbaustier, features modern classrooms, digital language labs, multimedia studios, smart boards, high-speed internet, conference halls, and a digital resource library. Located at Ahmadiyya Junction, Airport Road, it is now one of Northern Nigeria’s most advanced language and cultural training centres.
Gwarzo said the edifice will boost bilingual education in Kano, giving students access to world-class French training. The Ambassador praised him for his contributions, praying for his long life and continued support of education and humanitarian initiatives.
Alliance Française Kano Director, Ali Dabo, expressed deep gratitude, noting that no individual in the centre’s history has transformed its facilities to such a standard, providing a permanent and dignified home after more than a decade of tenancy.
