Hillside University of Science and Technology (HUST) has announced that only students who have paid at least 30 per cent of their tuition fees will be allowed to resume when the new academic session begins in October.
In a statement issued on Monday by the Registrar, the university said returning students are to resume between October 4 and 5, while new students are expected on campus from October 18 to 19. The statement noted that students must send proof of payment to the Bursary via email to obtain a clearance form, which will be required for entry into the university premises.
HUST also advised students to arrive on campus before 6:00 p.m. on their designated resumption day, citing security reasons. Those unable to arrive before that time were urged to delay travel until the following morning.
To support travel logistics, the university’s Student Development Division will operate a coordinated transportation scheme. However, access to the buses will be restricted to students who have completed the minimum payment. The university management expressed appreciation to parents, guardians, and students for their cooperation, assuring that the measures are meant to ensure a safe and orderly resumption.
