Junior Achievement Nigeria (JAN) is set to host the SET4LYF National Convening on Teaching Entrepreneurship with a Focus on Teachers on Thursday, November 6, 2025. The event will promote entrepreneurship education and empower teachers as catalysts for innovation in schools nationwide.
At a virtual media parley ahead of the event, Mr Olaolu Akogun, Country Director of the SET4LYF initiative, explained that the programme, School-to-Work Educational Transitions for Long-Term Youth Fulfilment, aims to equip secondary school girls, internally displaced persons (IDPs) and persons with disabilities (PWDs) with entrepreneurial and employability skills.
Akogun said the initiative targets 30 states and the FCT, with at least 5% of participants being girls with disabilities and 10% from IDP backgrounds. He stressed the importance of government and institutional support, noting that inclusion and collaboration remain central to the project’s success.
The convening will bring together educators, policymakers, NGOs, and private sector partners to explore ways of strengthening entrepreneurship teaching across schools.
