The Kogi State Government has released about N8 billion to improve Kogi State University, Kabba. This shows clear political will to grow the young school and give more people in Okun land access to higher education.
According to reports, the money will cover big projects like a Senate building, Faculty of Science blocks, and student hostels. Apart from classrooms, the government is also working on campus roads, steady light, and digital systems that will make learning and administration easier.
This investment is coming less than one year after the university started complete academic work in 2024. Education watchers say it proves the government’s plan to turn the school into an intensive centre for learning and development in Kogi West. People in the community believe the funds will bring in more students, create jobs, and help the university play a bigger role in developing the area.
