Lagos Mainland Local Government is set to distribute free exercise books to primary school pupils across the area tomorrow, Friday, September 20 2025. The event will take place at the LMLG Secretariat at 11:00 am under the leadership of Mayor Jubril Kolawole Emilagba.
The initiative is part of efforts to ease the financial load on parents and improve pupils’ academic performance. Mayor Emilagba emphasised that no child should be held back in school due to a lack of basic learning materials. He also described the exercise as an investment in the future of children in Lagos Mainland, adding that education remains a top priority for his administration.
According to him, the council will continue to support schools, teachers, and pupils to ensure quality education across the community.
Residents say the gesture will go a long way in empowering families and encouraging young learners to take their studies more seriously.
