The Lagos State Government has launched a free Software Quality Assurance training programme for 600 students and fresh graduates to equip them with essential digital skills for the modern workplace.
The initiative, organised by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Union Affairs (Tertiary Education) in partnership with Korrekt Tech, a Quality-as-a-Service startup, is taking place across three centres — Lagos State University of Science and Technology, Ikorodu; Lagos State University of Education, Otto/Ijanikin; and Lagos State College of Health Technology, Yaba. The training, which began on October 11, will run for three consecutive Saturdays.
Speaking during the launch, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Union Affairs (Tertiary Education), Kappo Samuel, said the programme reflects Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to youth empowerment through education and technology.
“This is more than a training; it is a launchpad to tech excellence,” Kappo said. “The world is moving rapidly in the direction of technology, and Lagos youths must be prepared to take their place.” He added that the training will help participants gain practical skills in digital product testing, quality management and tech-based service delivery.
