Nekede Poly Trains Staff on Research Grants

Federal Polytechnic Nekede is enhancing its research drive with a special workshop on securing grants. The training, held on June 25, 2025, was organised by the school’s Research, Innovation, and Development (RI&D) unit and approved by the Rector, Dr Basilia Nkemdilim Igbokwe. The event taught lecturers and staff how to apply for the National Research Fund (NRF) grant. Prof. Emeka Oguzie, the guest speaker, showed how to write winning proposals and warned against common mistakes. Representing the Rector, Dr A. C. Madu, stated that the school is committed to establishing a robust research culture that will enhance its global visibility. Certificates were given to top-performing researchers, including the Rector, who was praised for her support and vision. With this move, Nekede Polytechnic aims to attract more funding and establish itself as one of Nigeria’s leading research institutions.
