Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has said his donations to schools and hospitals across Nigeria are not politically motivated but purely humanitarian.
He clarified on Friday while donating N10 million to The Good Hope Specialist Hospital in Isulo, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Obi explained that his support for education and healthcare was driven by the need to strengthen critical sectors that directly impact development. According to him, good health and quality education are the foundation for a productive society.
“We will be giving an initial N10 million and will follow it up soon. It is when people are healthy that they can be productive,” he said.
The former Anambra governor added that he would continue investing in projects that improve the lives of Nigerians, stressing that collective efforts were needed to advance the country.
His latest gesture adds to a growing list of interventions in health and education institutions across the nation.
