The Presidency has rolled out a series of education support initiatives across the South-West region through its Community Engagement Office, benefiting schools in Ondo, Ekiti and Osun states.
Under the “BAT-STEM: Inspiring Growth Through Education and Mentorship” and the “South West Initiative for Transformation (SWIFT)” projects, thousands of pupils and teachers have received learning materials, scholarships, and teaching tools aimed at improving the quality of education in the region.
The outreach also extended to special needs students at Eruwa Special Basic School in Oyo State, who received inclusive learning materials and support equipment. Distributed items included school bags, notebooks, whiteboards, mathematical sets, shoes, and other supplies for both students and teachers.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (South-West), Moremi Ojudu, said the programmes form part of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, designed to make education more accessible and inclusive.
She noted that the interventions reflect the government’s determination to ensure “no child is left behind and every learner has the tools and encouragement to dream and succeed.”
