The Chairman of the Board of Governors of Jextoban Secondary School, Lagos, Pastor Emmanuel Adedayo Ojo, has called for stronger collaboration between parents and schools in raising children in the digital era.
Speaking at the school’s 27th valedictory and graduation ceremony, Ojo said both parties must share the same values to avoid working at cross purposes. He stressed that character formation should begin at home and be reinforced by schools and religious institutions.
Ojo highlighted the school’s focus on building a strong foundation for students to succeed academically and in life. Proprietress Adunola Ojo urged the graduating students to uphold the moral values taught during their time at the school, including integrity, self-discipline and fairness. The event also saw Elizabeth Abegunde named the best graduating student. She described the award as the fulfilment of a personal ambition and credited her success to the support of her teachers and school community.
