The Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUAT) has appointed Prof Olaniyi Jacob of the University of Ibadan as its pioneer Vice-Chancellor.
Olaniyi, an Okeho indigene, is a former Head of the Department of Animal Science and Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ibadan.
The current Head of the Animal Science Department, University of Ibadan, Prof Olubunmi Olusola, has described the appointment as deserving.
“It is with great pride and delight that I announce the appointment of Professor Olaniyi Jacob Babayemi as the Pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the newly established Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho.
“This appointment is a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding contributions to scholarship, leadership, and the advancement of agricultural education in Nigeria,” he said.
