Olutayo Adesina, a Professor of History at the University of Ibadan (UI), has raised concerns about the current economic issues in Nigeria.
He expressed his concerns while delivering a lecture titled “Contemporary Yoruba Elites and the Bystander Effect.”
The professor called on Yoruba elites to take active steps toward the socio-economic issues in the southwest.
He added that more investment should be made in a knowledge-based economy and job creation for the Nigerian youth. However, the federal government has started the National Job Centre Project to tackle unemployment and promote decent work for Nigerians.
