Tension has gripped Ondo State following the sudden disappearance of Mr Olaloye Olatunde, Vice Principal of Ipele Community High School, Owo.
Olatunde reportedly travelled from Owo to Akure on August 24, 2025, to attend a week-long Child Labour Programme organised by Trace Project Akure in partnership with Charakids Foundation. He checked into Sunview Hotel, Alagbaka, where participants were lodged, and kept in touch with his wife until Wednesday.
His wife, Mrs Adenike Olaloye, said communication stopped abruptly that day, and by Friday, his phone was completely unreachable. The workshop was scheduled to end the same day. She is currently hospitalised after breaking her leg while searching for her husband.
The unexplained disappearance has raised fears among family, colleagues, and the local community. The police are yet to issue an official statement, but concerns are growing over Olatunde’s safety and the mystery surrounding his whereabouts.
