Thirty young Nigerians have won postgraduate scholarships from Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited (NAE), a subsidiary of Eni, in partnership with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and NAE PSC.
The 2025/2026 programme received over 1,500 applications, but only 30 were successful after demonstrating strong academic records and passing a computer-based test. Out of the winners, 10 will travel abroad for their studies, while 20 will continue in Nigerian universities.
The scholarship will cover courses like engineering, geosciences, petroleum and environmental technology, energy economics, renewable energy, and energy transition.
Speaking in Abuja during the award ceremony, NAE’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Fabrizio Bolondi, congratulated the beneficiaries. He noted that education is key to Nigeria’s progress and urged the scholars to seize the opportunity to acquire skills that will benefit the country, especially in the energy sector.
