Approved Polytechnics Offering B.Sc. Degree Programmes in Nigeria

Several Nigerian polytechnics have expanded their academic scope by introducing Bachelor’s degree programmes in collaboration with accredited universities. This move marks a new feat in the nation’s tertiary education system, bridging the long-standing gap between polytechnic and university education. Below is the list of some of these polytechnics.

Federal Polytechnic, Offa (Kwara State)

Federal Polytechnic, Offa, now awards Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degrees through affiliations with recognised universities. The institution offers degree programmes in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Food Science and Technology. These courses complement its existing National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes, providing students with a seamless progression to university-level qualifications.

Kaduna Polytechnic (Kaduna State)

Kaduna Polytechnic has introduced degree programmes, including B.Sc. and B.Ed., in partnership with approved universities. Among its offerings is a B.Sc. in Agricultural and Home Science Education.

Lagos City Polytechnic (Lagos State)

Lagos City Polytechnic, one of Nigeria’s pioneering private polytechnics, now offers B.Sc. degree programmes alongside its diploma courses.

Stanford Polytechnic (Ogun State)

Stanford Polytechnic has commenced Bachelor’s degree (BD) programmes in collaboration with accredited universities. The polytechnic offers B.Sc. degrees in selected fields.
