Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, has praised President Bola Tinubu for signing a new law that changes the Federal Polytechnic Kabo in Kano State to the Federal University of Science and Technology.
Barau, who sponsored the bill, said this move will help give more Nigerian youths access to quality education. He believes education is key to the growth of any country and thanked the President for supporting the development of science and technology in Nigeria. He also noted that the new university will train young Nigerians in important fields such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, which are in high demand worldwide. The senator congratulated the school’s management, staff, students, and the surrounding community. This comes shortly after President Tinubu sent letters to the Senate approving the creation of three new universities in Kano, Akwa Ibom, and Oyo states.
