Some experts are collaborating with government agencies and stakeholders to include energy efficiency in the school curriculum.
The experts disclosed this on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the launch of the NEXTGEN Energy Champions themed “Raising Africa’s next energy sustainability champions.” The event was organised by Energy Savers Nigeria, in collaboration with Seedbuilders and NIGENIUS.
Speaking at the launch, Kelechi Uchenna, the Chief Executive Officer of NIGENUS Technologies, said, “We are going to start co-curricular first.” Uchenna added that the organisation will then engage with bodies like the Federal Ministry of Education to see how it can embed energy efficiency into the curriculum.
