The Ernest Bebenimibo Foundation (EBF) distributed school bags, notebooks, writing materials, and mathematical sets to pupils and students across several schools in Delta State on Tuesday.
Founder and Director-General, Ernest Bebenimibo, said the gesture, flagged off at Ogbe-Ijoh Grammar School in Warri South-West LGA, marked the first phase of the 2025 Street-to-School project.
He explained that the initiative aims to encourage learners to remain in school without relying on farm or fishing proceeds for basic supplies. “This is to boost their morale so they will stay in school at all times. Tomorrow, they will also come back to impact society as we have done,” he told reporters.
Bebenimibo expressed gratitude to sponsors, particularly Chief Tare Pondi, for sustaining support despite rising costs.
His wife and co-founder, Loveth Bebenimibo, who addressed pupils at Aladja Model Primary School, Evwrirhe Primary, Epame Primary, Ayama Primary, Ewein Primary, and Ogbe-Ijoh Grammar School, urged them to take their studies seriously to become future leaders.
