Timi Dakolo to Pay School Fees for Parents

Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has pledged to support parents struggling with their children’s school fees as the 2025/2026 academic session begins.

Announcing the initiative on his official X handle on Wednesday, Dakolo acknowledged the financial strain families face at the start of every term.

“I know it is school fee season, but it is not always easy. I know this first-hand. So, let me help lessen that burden a little bit,” he wrote.

He urged parents and guardians to send their children’s school bills via Instagram to @TheOyindaOlu, adding that receipts of payments made directly to schools would be sent back for confirmation.

The gesture has drawn widespread praise online, with many commending the artist for intervening at a time when households are struggling with rising tuition, levies, uniforms, and textbook costs.

Dakolo, renowned for his family-themed songs and social advocacy, has consistently spoken out on issues affecting education and welfare.
