A former student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Mr. Fahd Egunjobi, has made his alma mater proud by emerging as the Best Graduating Master’s Student and Valedictorian at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), Ghana.
Mr. Egunjobi, who studied Statistics at FUNAAB, stood out among the 2024/2025 graduating class of AIMS. While delivering his valedictory speech, he spoke about resilience, sacrifice, and the shared dreams of young Africans striving to build a better future through science and innovation. He reminded everyone that many students at AIMS came with big hopes—not just for themselves but for their families and countries. He called for unity and purpose among African youth in the fields of science and technology. Egunjobi had earlier won the AIMS scholarship in 2023 and was the best graduating student in Statistics at FUNAAB for the 2020/2021 academic year. His success has once again placed FUNAAB in the spotlight for academic excellence
