Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has paid a surprise visit to the site of the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) in Ado-Ekiti. This was to enable him to inspect the ongoing construction of a new 80-bed multipurpose ward.
The visit afforded the governor and his team the chance to have a first-hand assessment of the project and interact with workers. He said the timely completion of the ward is important for improving healthcare services for residents. “When finished, this ward will have modern equipment to boost healthcare at our teaching hospital,” Oyebanji stated.
He added that regular inspections help ensure accountability and proper use of public funds, stressing that the people of Ekiti deserve the best. The new hospital facility will include facilities like emergency units, maternity and child care, general wards, and diagnostic services, which underlines Governor Oyebanjo’s commitment to promoting quality and affordable healthcare in the state.
