The Senate of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBUL) has nominated Professor Salihu Mohammed Niworu as the university’s new Deputy Vice-Chancellor.
Professor Niworu, previously the Director of Academic Planning, was elected by a large majority during the university’s 101st Regular Senate meeting. The appointment of Prof. Niworu to office aligns with IBBUL’s goal of achieving a world-class standard in education.
Commenting on the appointment, Vice-Chancellor Professor Salihu praised Professor Niworu for his competence, dedication, and strong leadership, noting that the university’s law allows for two Deputy Vice-Chancellors.
In his response, Professor Niworu thanked Allah, the Vice-Chancellor, and the Senate, promising to work hard and cooperate fully to support the school’s growth and proper use of resources.
The appointment is expected to strengthen the university’s leadership team and help achieve its academic and administrative goals.
