JAMB has held the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in seven countries outside Nigeria. The examination was conducted on July 12, 2025. This move is part of JAMB’s plan to encourage Nigerians living abroad and international students to apply for admission into Nigerian universities.
The countries where the examination was held include the United Kingdom (London), Saudi Arabia (Jeddah), South Africa (Johannesburg), Ghana (Accra), Cameroon (Buea), Benin Republic (Cotonou), and Togo (Lome).
According to JAMB, this move is part of its plan to promote Nigerian tertiary institutions globally and encourage foreign student enrolment. JAMB also noted that the number of international students admitted into Nigerian schools will now count toward the NATAP M-Award, which rewards schools for global outreach. Last year, the examination was held in eight countries, demonstrating JAMB’s continued commitment to promoting Nigerian education globally.
