Kwara State University (KWASU) has appointed Professor Sulaiman Sheu Adua as the new Dean of Student Affairs. His appointment will last for two years. The appointment was confirmed in a letter from the Registrar, Dr Kikelomo W. Sallee, and signed by the Deputy Registrar from the Human Resource Division, Mrs. Josephine Agbana.
Professor Adua teaches Islamic History in the Department of Religions. He got his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Ilorin. He is also one of the first people to have helped establish KWASU. Over the years, Professor Adua has held many important positions in the university. He has been a member of the Examination Monitoring Committee and the Admissions Committee. He also served as Chair of the Welfare Committee, Director of the Centre for Advanced and Basic Studies, and Coordinator of the KWASU-CAILS Foundation Programme.
Apart from his new role, Professor Adua will also deliver KWASU’s 18th Inaugural Lecture on Wednesday, June 25 2025. Many people in the university believe that his experience and leadership will help improve student affairs and support the overall growth of KWASU.
