The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), will hold its 105th Inaugural Lecture on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Prof. Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building.
The lecture, titled “Financing the Cooperatives: Repayment Culture for Sustainable Agricultural Development,” will be delivered by Professor Dorcas Adetokunbo Adegbite of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management. Professor Adegbite is a specialist in agricultural finance and policy issues.
FUNAAB Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babatunde Kehinde, will serve as chief host and chair of the event.
The university stated that the lecture will examine the challenges in cooperative financing and their impact on sustainable agricultural development.
Members of the university community, agricultural stakeholders, and the public are invited to attend. The event will also be streamed live.
