The Malala Foundation has reassured its commitment to advancing girl-child education in Nigeria through stronger collaboration with traditional institutions.
President of the Foundation, Mr Ziouddin Yousafzai, stated this during a courtesy visit to the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, at his palace in Zaria.
Yousafzai praised the Emirate for its support and described it as a strategic partner in driving educational inclusion for girls across Northern Nigeria.
He emphasised the Foundation’s resolve to empower young girls through access to quality education, which he said remains central to achieving gender equality.
Responding, Emir Bamalli commended the Malala Foundation for its consistent investment in female education and advocacy. He reiterated that education is the most potent weapon against poverty and ignorance, urging parents to prioritise the schooling of their daughters.
