Nigeria’s top mattress and bedding company, Mouka, has announced the 6th edition of its Mouka Award for Excellence. This programme honours the best graduating students in Nigerian universities and secondary schools.
The initiative, introduced in 2020 under Mouka’s corporate social responsibility drive, “Skills for Life,” rewards outstanding students with cash grants to support their academic and professional journey.
Mouka’s Chief Commercial Officer, Dimeji Osingunwa, explained that the award goes beyond recognition. According to him, quality sleep plays a vital role in students’ performance, as research shows that learners who sleep well achieve better results.
Previous editions of the award have recognised students from institutions such as Nile University, Covenant University, Achievers University, and Elizade University. By combining academic rewards with awareness about healthy sleep, Mouka says it aims to promote excellence and improve learning outcomes in Nigeria’s education system.
