The Namacos Editorial Board (NEB) of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree (OSPOLY), has inaugurated its new executives for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The ceremony, held recently at the institution’s New Lecture Hall 1, also featured the launch of NEB’s latest magazine and marked the opening of the NAMACOS Final Year Brethren (FYB) week, themed “Corporate Day.”
Delivering the keynote address, former NEB Editor-in-Chief and OSPOLY alumnus, Mr. Odedele Temilade Damilola, spoke on “Maintaining Journalism Ethics Amid AI Integration.” He urged student journalists to uphold truth, objectivity, and accountability despite the growing influence of artificial intelligence in the media industry.
Outgoing Editor-in-Chief, EDM Asiyanbi Abraham Blessing, in his farewell address, encouraged his successors to sustain NEB’s tradition of integrity and creativity in student journalism. The event concluded with the formal handover of leadership and the unveiling of the board’s new publication.
