Ododo Praised for Transforming Kogi State University

Kogi State University, Kabba, has witnessed a major infrastructural overhaul following investments by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The state’s Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, accompanied by a media team, visited the campus to inspect ongoing projects.

Fanwo praised Governor Ododo’s efforts, noting that his leadership has quenched doubts about Kogi State’s ability to sustain three universities simultaneously.

Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof Temitope Eniola, expressed gratitude to the state government, describing the institution as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing universities.

He highlighted the new bridges, roads, and buildings being constructed, adding that the university has witnessed remarkable growth over the last two years since the Governor took office.

Eniola predicted that within five years, the institution would be unrecognisable due to the scale of development going on. He commended the Governor’s passion for educational advancement, crediting him with driving progress across multiple projects.

Facilities inspected during the visit included a completed administrative building, an ongoing Senate building, male and female hostels, and renovations in the Mass Communication and Theatre Arts departments.
