Entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr Tunji Olowolafe, has launched two major education projects in Are-Ekiti, Ekiti State. The projects are the Gbemisola Olowolafe Memorial ICT Centre and the GOM Community Secondary School.
The two initiatives have been unveiled through the Tunji Olowolafe Foundation, which was established in honour of his late wife, Mrs Gbemisola Olutayo Olowolafe, who passed away in March 2025.
The ICT centre is a 40-seater hub equipped with high-speed internet, constant power supply, and security. It offers training in cutting-edge fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Quantum Computing, alongside practical courses in IT support, cybersecurity, data analytics, and digital marketing.
The adjoining community secondary school is expected to complement the ICT centre by providing a strong academic base for young learners. Dr Olowolafe said the projects mark the beginning of a broader plan to establish world-class technology hubs across Nigeria and Africa.
