The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr Dennis Otuaro, has warned applicants and parents against paying money for the ongoing 2025/2026 scholarship application.
Otuaro said the act is fraudulent and unacceptable, stressing that no payment is required to benefit from the programme. He made this known in Abuja during the opening of the third batch of PAP’s three-day Strategic Leadership, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation Training, organised in partnership with the Nigerian Army Resource Centre.
He expressed concern over reports that some stakeholders were allegedly collecting money from unsuspecting parents and guardians, promising to influence the scholarship process. The PAP boss advised the public to report such cases, assuring that the programme remains committed to transparency and fairness. He added that anyone found engaging in the illegal act would face the full weight of the law.
